About Thistle Heritage Services:

Established in 2000, Thistle Heritage Services is run by Jack Davis. Jack is a graduate of Glasgow University, and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals, with 30 years of service in the Mitchell Library, Glasgow, working in cataloguing and local history, including six years in the library’s Family History Room. He has also worked as a curator on a local history website, TheGlasgowStory.

While enquiries relating to any part of Scotland are welcome, Thistle Heritage Services specialises in the west and south west of Scotland, in particular the pre-1975 counties of Lanarkshire (including City of Glasgow), Renfrewshire, Dunbartonshire, Stirlingshire, Ayrshire, Argyll, Bute, Dumfriesshire, Kirkcudbrightshire and Wigtownshire.
